uPrint Signature Edition Guide

What is the uPrint Signature Edition?

The uPrint Signature Edition transforms your athlete's portraits into custom sports artwork. Each Signature Edition is individually created using your athlete's portrait and personalized with their name, jersey number (when applicable), and team graphics.

Every Signature Edition order includes two personalized images: an Individual and a Team Composite.

Your Signature Edition artwork may vary from the samples shown based on the pose and positioning of your athlete.

What do I receive?

Every uPrint Signature Edition includes:

  • Signature Edition individual artwork
  • Signature Edition team composite artwork
  • Digital files of both Signature Edition images
  • Print release for the Signature Edition files
  • Printing Guide

How does it work?

When you add the uPrint Signature Edition to your order:

  • All prints in your order will be upgraded to Signature Edition artwork. Signature Edition automatically replaces the original image for all prints on your order form.
  • Photo gifts will still use the original image. (See below for more details)

Please note:

  • Prints are sold separately.
  • Want to keep the original images for your prints and receive your Signature Edition as digital files only?  Please use two separate order forms: one for your original-image prints and one for the Signature Edition. We will contact you to confirm your selections.
  • Signature Edition is available for sibling photos ONLY when both athletes are on the same team. 2 athletes max.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I receive prints if I only purchase the Signature Edition?

No.

If you purchase only the Signature Edition, you will receive the Signature Edition digital files with a print release. Prints are sold separately.

What happens if I purchase prints with the Signature Edition?

All prints ordered with the Signature Edition will be automatically upgraded to Signature Edition artwork. Signature Edition prints replace the original-image prints on your order. Photo gifts will continue to use the original image. (See below for more details)

Which products receive the Signature Edition artwork?

If you purchase prints and the uPrint Signature Edition, the following prints will be automatically upgraded to Signature Edition artwork:

Please note: Yard signs are custom-designed separately and are not part of the Signature Edition.

Can I add the Signature Edition after placing my order?

If you only want the digital files, yes.

If you want your prints changed to the Signature Edition artwork, maybe.

As long as your prints have not yet been processed, they can still be changed to the Signature Edition artwork.

Can sibling photos receive the Signature Edition?

It depends. The Signature Edition is available for sibling photos ONLY when both athletes are on the same team.

Up to two athletes can be included in the artwork. Sibling photos featuring athletes from different teams are not eligible because each Signature Edition is designed around a single team and its team composite.

Why is there an additional charge?

Every Signature Edition is individually created for your athlete. Each order requires significantly more editing and design than a standard portrait, resulting in two custom Signature Edition images personalized for your athlete.

What name will appear on the Signature Edition?

By default, the first name entered on the order form will appear on the Signature Edition.

If you'd like a nickname, simply enter it on the order form. For example, if you'd like "Tank" to appear on the Signature Edition instead of "John," enter "Tank Smith" on the order form instead of "John Smith."

If we have any questions about how the name should appear, we'll contact you before creating your Signature Edition.

Printing Your Signature Edition Files

Every Signature Edition includes multiple versions of each image to ensure the best results for different print sizes. A Printing Guide is included in your gallery to help you choose the correct file for the print size you need.

Wide is designed for print sizes such as:

  • 8×10
  • 8.5×11
  • 10×13
  • 11×14
  • 16×20
  • and other similar print sizes.

Narrow is designed for print sizes such as:

  • 4×6
  • 5×7
  • 8×12
  • 10×15
  • 16×24
  • and other similar print sizes.

Each version is designed to minimize cropping and preserve the composition when printed.
